I was thinking of comic panels behind her, and that line just popped into my head...
.05 mech pencil, tech eraser, .01 micron
I'm trying to get away from the all too stylized anime drawings... not that I've really been able to draw anything in that style recently! Note the landscape pic, and the penciling of Harrison Ford... and before either of those the cool swirling water of DOOM! *creepy music plays* Yeah... anyway, this was supposed to be Western style... but there really isn't that much of a difference in plain cartoon style, unless you're drawing mounds of muscles. In comics? TONS of difference!
Edit: Challenge! Okay, so here I have this wonderfully inked lineart and I started coloring it... then I thought to myself "I wish I could see this as a single comic page colored by people on DA..." So! Here is the challenge! Download the full-rez image, print it out or open it in your favorite image-modifying program and color the girl and the back panels any way you'd like, keeping in mind only that you must treat it like a page of a comic (that is, the panels should somehow relate to each other or tell a story in some manner... it's up to you). When you finish, post a link here to you work so as I can put it in a collection (a.k.a. it). Have fun! Run wild!
What? You want to know what you get for finishing the challenge? ........A fickle butterfly
Cool times. My drawings are less anime these days too, but I don't really like the look of the super muscular western comics so I'm kind of leaning toward semi-realism stylized fantasy style...something or ..yeah.
It looks cool. It's not too western, and it's still kind of anime, but not like "ANIME!!111!!" with the annoying blank eyes and rainbow hair colors and cat ears.
Hahaha. And the nose is a little more western, and the lips, and the eyes don't have 5-bajillion eyelashes... And I think the shoulders and hips are less stereotypical-anime-style, too...

Yup yup. I laugh at the eyelash thing. Hahaha. Speaking of anime vs. real, the space deviation I just did is a branch off an anime version I did if you remember it. [link] Can you tell? the new one is so much better, but I see the similarities.
go against the peoples!!! i really like it, her pose is very nicely done

Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
